The in-the-round stage has been swept, but the tingles remain from Manchester Collective's arresting debut in the Substation yesterday evening. An entirely acoustic concert for two violins, viola and cello, which climaxed with Gorecki's remarkable and entirely engrossing "Quasi Una Fantasia". They return on Friday 2nd March, Friday 4th May, and Friday 29th June with a steadily building programme that sees the ensemble and the repertoire grow and expand with more and more challenges for performer and audience alike.
