The Destruction of the Night Time Economy and in particular The LGBTQ Bars and Venues are being systematically removed from our city 58% of Safe Spaces have already gone and the remaining icons of the once vibrant cutting edge and fiercely unique scene are being given the final stab in the back by this incompetent ridiculous excuse of a Government. As clearly warned, the disaster of a 10:00pm Curfew, throwing everyone out at the same time across a city as big as London, Would only lead to the type of scenes witnessed last night. Venues who have worked tirelessly, to make themselves safe and Covid compliant and beyond the requirements, making us as safe as possible are having their last attempt at surviving this horrific situation, have been dealt the final blow. Offcourse we want to stay open in a safe and controlled manner and Yes, we understand their is a crisis affecting all of us, Yes we know it’s a situation we all need to adapt to, but for goodness sake, why kill of an entire industry to hide your mismanagement. The most insulting one of all is Oliver Dowden who believe it or not is our Culture Secretary, who smirks and smiles as he insists that the curfew is necessary because you The Public can not help yourselves when it comes to 10:00pm. The clock is at 5 to midnight for us and other venues. Give us the responsibility to manage or business and customers as we have done for 17years..Absolutely Heart Breaking..Literally..💔
